Homeowners In Jeopardy Call For Freeze

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia-area residents rallied to save their homes Thursday, hoping they have a shot after foreclosure freezes across the nation.

"Save our homes! Save our homes!" the protestors shouted.

The protesters were outside foreclosure court at City Hall, where hundreds line up every Thursday for a chance at a hearing to work out a deal.

The "Save Our Homes Coalition" is calling for a freeze in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania, and the group wants investigations.

"They have admitted that they have on a routine basis had people sign affidavits in which they lied, to which they perjured themselves, for which they committed fraud. The lenders are saying, 'Yeah, we did it, but it doesn't matter, because the people we foreclosed deserved to be foreclosed anyway,'" said Irwin Trauss, who represents low-income homeowners, as fellow protestors booed.

Updating you on the plight of a woman Fox 29 News showed you last night at 10, Tracy Richardson has battled for more than a year to work out a loan-modification plan with Bank of America.

We checked back, and the bank says it still needs time to research.
