Over 100 rally in Jenkintown to support health care reform

Thanks to all who participated in the Health Care Town Meeting in Philadelphia last Tuesday (over 600 mostly pro-health care reform attended) and the Jenkintown canvass day on Saturday.  Over 100 health care reform advocates came out.  Good press and TV coverage showed the positive face of the health care debate, helping to counter the right wing assault that was launched the week or two before.  We need to keep up the pressure to win real reform to guarantee health care for all in America!

Over 100 attended the rally and canvass day on Saturday in Jenkintown. Dr. Valerie Arkoosh head of the National Physicians Alliance, John Meyerson, Legislative Director of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1776 and Antoinette Kraus of the Philadelphia Unemployment Project spoke to the motivated crowd. They then broke into teams and knocked on doors to engage Montgomery County residents in the health reform issue.
